Although summers tend to zip by, leaving unfinished books and other ambitions in the dust, I still get excited at the prospect of "loads of free time" (after work or while on vacation) just to relax and enjoy a good book.

The CWRU-Daily.com recently featured the mindfulness research of Christopher Lyddy, an organizational doctoral candidate at Case Western Reserve's Weatherhead School of Management.  Lyddy, a co-lead author with Weatherhead alum Darren Good, PhD., and colleagues have published an article entitled "Contemplating Mindfulness at Work:  An Integrative Review" in the 42 Journal of Management 114 (2016).     
Recently, President Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to visit Cuba since Calvin Coolidge did so in 1928. Of course, another famous President, Theodore Roosevelt invaded Cuba in 1898, as Asst. Secretary of the Navy, prior to becoming president. President Obama and Raul Castro had a televised press conference, including a reporter asking President Castro if he would release political prisoners.
