The Amnesty International's Legal and International Organizations Program has five internships available from January to June 2004, three in London, one in Geneva and one in New York. The aim of the Program is to provide work opportunities in an international campaigning human rights organization for individuals who want to gain experience in the field of international human rights work. A background in law, international politics, international relations, political science or similar is essential. Some knowledge of international human rights law or practice and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) is useful. In addition, some administrative experience is essential for Geneva and New York. Candidates are not formally interviewed. Selection is made on the basis of the application form, curriculum vitae and submitted written work.
