Law Review Positions:

Associate Editors:

Associate Editors have two main responsibilities. First, Associates participate in a seminar class taught by Law Review 's faculty advisor. Through this class, Associates write an in-depth scholarly paper, called a “Note,” on a topic of their choice. The process forces Associates to perfect their analytical and writing skills. Additionally, the Note satisfies the law school's writing requirement and is eligible for consideration for publication in the next year's volume.

Second, Associates participate in Law Review 's publication process. Associates are charged with verifying the accuracy and format of legal citations contained in pieces selected for publication. In addition to improving research skills, the verification process exposes Associates to cutting-edge analysis and arguments from renowned experts in various fields.

Editorial Board:

Third-year law students comprise Law Review 's Editorial Board. The Board, as the name suggests, substantively edits, verifies, and finalizes each issue for publication. Eight 3Ls form Law Review 's Executive Board and are responsible for managing Law Review 's day-to-day operations.

Additionally, the Board is developing and refining Law Review 's mentoring program. Through the program, each Board member is paired with an Associate. The Board member mentors the Associate through the Note writing process, and through Law Review 's publication process . Mentors also read and comment on their assigned Associate's Note before the Associate submits the Note for grading and consideration for publication.
