2011-2012 EDITORIAL BOARD
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF - Eben McNair
Eben graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. He also served in the Marine Corps for six years. Eben currently participates in the Kramer Law Clinic, representing indigent clients throughout Cuyahoga County. After graduation, Eben plans to remain in Ohio to purse his legal career.
MANAGING EDITOR - Rachel Wolbers
Rachel graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics. Her note on WikiLeaks and the First Amendment was selected for publication and Note of the Year. At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, she is currently the Managing Editor for War Crimes Prosecution Watch and served as President of the International Law Society during the 2010-2011 school year. Her interest is in public policy and, upon graduation, she hopes to work for the federal government in either a administrative or legislative role.
EXECUTIVE ARTICLES EDITOR - Daniel Cronin
Dan completed a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Michigan and a masters in business administration from Wayne State University. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the financial services industry in Boston. His academic honors include multiple semesters on the Dean’s Honor List and a CALI award in International Real Estate Transactions. While clerking for the law department in his first summer, Dan received a citation from the Mayor of Cleveland for his assistance with a major case against the City. Dan was drawn to JOLTI because it enabled him to write about how the Internet has changed real property law. Dan resides in Cleveland Heights with his wife, new son, and energetic pets. After graduation, Dan will start work with a great firm in Northeast Ohio.
PRODUCTION EDITOR - Rebecca Gilbert
Rebecca graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Rebecca's academic honors include multiple semesters on the Dean's Honor List and a CALI Award for Excellence in Trademarks. Additionally, Rebecca serves as a selection committee member for the Cleveland International Film Festival. Additionally , this past summer, Rebecca worked as a legal intern for the international sports and entertainment ageny, IMG. Upon graduation, Rebecca is moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment law.
EXECUTIVE CONTRIBUTING EDITOR - Philip Blanco
Phil graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Phil has served as a student representative to the Library Faculty Committee for the past two years. He is also a Judges Coordinator on the Dunmore Moot Court Board. This past summer,he worked as a legal extern at the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Northern District of Ohio. Upon graduation, Phil hopes to pursue a career in either corporate litigation or criminal defense.
EXECUTIVE NOTES EDITOR - David Myers
David Myers graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree. Mr. Myers also earned his Certified Public Accountant and Project Management Professional certifications. His legal academic honors include receipt of two merit scholarships, CALI awards in both Federal Income Tax and Strategic Representation and Communication, and listing on the Dean’s Honors List for the duration of his studies. Mr. Myers interest in corporate and employment law arises from his fourteen years of experience consulting with business clients in the banking, manufacturing, and technology industries. Upon graduation, Mr. Myers plans on pursuing a career as a transactional attorney focused on corporate issues.
ASSOCIATE COORDINATOR - Carla DiBlasio
Carla graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude. She has acted as a Class Senator for the Student Bar Association for the past two years. She previously acted as an Executive Board Member of Case Western's Women's Law Society. Ms. DiBlasio remains actively involved in public interest initiatives, including her leadership in the Community Service Committee of the SBA, her work with Law Students for Social Justice, and her previous volunteer work with the 3Rs program and Case Western's Center for Social Justice. Ms. DiBlasio is very interested in First Amendment rights, especially as it relates to individuals' free speech rights on the Internet. Upon graduation, Ms. DiBlasio is interested in pursuing a career in legislative work in Washington D.C.
