Juscelino Colares is a specialist in the intersystemic aspects of the law on international trade, climate change and civil procedure. Professor Colares' unique analytical viewpoint has led him to explore varied topics in interjurisdictional law, such as the discontinuity between domestic judicial and international dispute settlement review of national agencies' trade determinations, the barriers against and possibilities for climate change reform in the United States and abroad, and the reverse-Erie, choice-of-law problem in the EU context. His research has appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals and law reviews, including the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, Journal of International Economic Law, Journal of World Trade, Revista dos Tribunais (Brazil), Columbia Journal of European Law, Cornell International Law Journal and Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.
