Short-Term Employment Program (CWRU Law STEP)
We recognize that not all employers have the workload or finances to hire a long-term law clerk or new associate, but may often have special projects and short-term needs that could benefit from the assistance of a skilled law student or recent graduate.
To address these needs, the Career Services Office has launched the CWRU Law STEP program, which is designed to promote these opportunities to our students and recent graduates and assist attorneys both locally and nationally with their demanding workloads.
Projects that may be good candidates for the CWRU Law STEP program include:
Document reviews
Research and writing
Summarizing updates to laws and/or regulations
Assistance with researching and writing articles, company newsletters, or CLE materials
Drafting and/or filing court documents
These opportunities are advertised on our password-protected jobs board as CWRU Law STEP opportunities, and are searchable by our students and recent graduates who are seeking just these sorts of opportunities to broaden their experiences and provide a needed service.
You can submit an opportunity for posting in one of two ways:
• Post your opportunity directly by registering for an account with our jobs board system,
CSOonline
• Or have us post it for you by completing our online
CWRU Law STEP Posting Form
.
We welcome your questions and feedback as we work to make this program a valuable opportunity for both our employers and our students and graduates. Please send questions or feedback to
lawjobpostings@case.edu
or call 216-368-6353.
