Our staff of six includes five attorneys available to provide you with individualized career counseling. All Career Services Office personnel are leaders in the legal field and are active in numerous professional associations.
Kelli C. Curtis, Esq., the Assistant Dean for Career Services, has been with the Career Services Office at Case Western Reserve University School of Law since 2005. Previously, she worked for four years as a Senior Quality Editor with LexisNexis. She earned her J.D. at The Ohio State University College of Law and her B.A. at Western Michigan University. Ms. Curtis is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the National Association for Law Placement, and the Law Placement Association of Cleveland.
Candice L. Storey, Esq., the Director of Career Counseling, joined the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Career Services Office in 2006. Previous to her arrival at Case, she practiced estate planning and probate law at two small firms in the Cleveland area. Ms. Storey earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her B.S. from Bowling Green State University. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the National Association for Law Placement.
Sarah Dylag Beznoska, J.D., the Director of Career Programming, joined the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Career Services Office in 2007. Prior to her arrival at Case, she worked as an attorney for the Washington State House of Representatives in Olympia, Washington. She also worked in private practice for a large firm in Washington DC. Ms. Beznoska earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. She is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association, and is a member of the National Association of Law Placement.
Francie M. Fields, J.D., the Director of Employer Outreach, joined Case Western Reserve University School of Law Career Services Office in 2008. Prior to her arrival at Case, Ms. Fields worked as an associate attorney at a small immigration firm in New York City. She began her career with Legal Services of Greater Miami. Ms. Fields earned her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She is admitted to the Florida and New York Bar Associations, and is a member of the National Association of Law Placement as well as the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
Heather Day DiFranco, Esq., the Assistant Director of Career Services, joined the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Career Services Office in 2007. Previous to joining the CSO, she worked for five years as a Senior Attorney Editor at Thomson/West. She also previously practiced family law and school law in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her J.D. at The Ohio State University College of Law and her B.A. at Baldwin-Wallace College. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the National Association of Law Placement.
Sonja (Sunny) McCord, the Recruitment Coordinator for the Career Services Office joined the CSO in August of 2009. Most recently, she worked as the Recruitment Coordinator in the University Career Center. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration degree at Case Western Reserve University. Sunny’s primary responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling on- and off-campus interview programs in Cleveland and in other major metropolitan areas; coordinating employer outreach efforts, including invitation mailings and phone calls; prepare statistical reports for national publications; coordinating numerous job fairs; and managing computerized scheduling programs used by the Career Services Office.
Ray Noscal, the Department Assistant for the Career Services Office, joined the CSO in 2007. Most recently, he worked as a National Accounts Coordinator for an east-side consulting and engineering firm. He is currently pursuing his Political Science undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University. Ray's primarily responsibilties include maintaining job postings, processing reciprocity requests, and assisting students with inquiries, including scheduling appointments with counselors.
