University of Virginia - B.A. in History and a minor in Government
During my time at Case Western, I have enjoyed my Contracts, Property, CORE, and Health Law classes.
All of my professors have been great. The law school has a devoted faculty that cares about its students. Professors make themselves available to students after class and during office hours. Whether you are learning from doctrinal or clinical faculty, you will be with professors who care about you and your future.
This year I am involved in numerous activities. I am president of the Student Bar Association, a member of the Moot Court Board, a member of the National Moot Court Team, an editor on Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine, a teaching assistant for legal writing, and a member of Law Ambassadors.
As president of the Student Bar Association, I am responsible for student life and student organizations at the law school. I get to work with students and administrators to make the law school a welcoming place for new and returning students. In addition to my work with student government, I am looking forward to competing with my moot court teammates throughout the year and working with the Moot Court Board to put on the annual Dean Dunmore Moot Court Competition in the spring.
The summer after my first year, I worked as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable George J. Limbert, United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio. I enjoyed seeing law in action and learning how the federal courts deal with criminal activity, alleged violations of civil rights, among other issues. This past summer, I worked in the law school's Health Law Clinic with Professors McNally and Harris. I helped low-income clients with their Social Security claims. I also had the opportunity to represent a client before an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.
Make sure to get involved and meet as many students and faculty as you can. These relationships make law school more enjoyable, and you will appreciate the connections you make when you start your legal career and have a national network of friends and colleagues that you can count on. You have to make time to enjoy law school and enjoy the people you will see for the next three years and beyond.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
