Employment

This summer I had the incredible opportunity to extern for a federal district court judge here in Cleveland. The educational experience was absolutely unparallelled. I was able to gain a much greater understanding for how the judicial system functions on a day to day basis both in the civil and the criminal context. I would encourage any 1Ls to strongly consider spending a part of their summer as a judicial extern.

Advice

Get your reading done ahead of time and come to class with your notes already typed and printed. That way, you get to participate fully in the conversation while only taking time to stop and highlight the important points or an issue in a case that you may have missed.
