Before law school, I took a year off and worked as a legal assistant at Consumer Legal Services, a small law firm in LA. This past summer, I worked as a summer associate at Calfee, Halter & Griswold here in Cleveland.
Law school is tough, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. However, it really doesn't have to be as bad as some people make it out to be! The most important thing for me has been just remembering to stay positive. You decided to go to law school for a reason, and although law school is inherently competitive, focus less on others and more on your own work and why you chose to be here. Remember that there's more to life than what's inside the brick walls of the law school, and if you need to get away from school and studying, do it! Make time for whatever recharges you and helps you stay happy, and it'll make the tougher things about law school a bit more bearable.

Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
