Student Organizations
We are proud of the extensive student organizations our law school offers. This not only enhances your law school experience, but is a wonderful way to remain even more engaged and active during your time here.
Our Office of Student Services takes very seriously its commitment to support our students and student organizations. We work closely with our student organizations and student leaders to give them the assistance that they need to thrive and succeed. We also provide advice and assistance to students who wish to start a new student organization. Following are the links to more information about student organizations recognized during the 2012-2013 academic year.
Big Buddies
The Big Buddies program allows law students (big buddies) to act as mentors and tutors to elementary and junior high school children (little buddies) in urban Cleveland. The program is sponsored by the Student Bar Association, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland, and the Mary Bethune Elementary School. Each law student who joins the program is paired with a child. Once a week, the little buddies are bused to the law school, where they and their big buddies take part in a group activity for about an hour, then spend time on school work. Group activities are varied and have included kickball, arts and crafts projects, visits to museums, and bowling. Although there are no prerequisites to participation, the program requires a commitment to attendance on the part of the big buddies, a fair amount of patience, and a good sense of humor.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
