Professor Cupar teaches Core I and II, a year-long legal writing and analysis course in the law school’s CaseArc Integrated Lawyering Skills Program. In Core, she teaches first-year law students to develop and hone their writing, editing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. She also supervises the Federal Judicial Externship and Federal Public Defender Externship courses for upper-class law students and serves as a faculty advisor for the law school’s moot court program. Prior to joining the law school’s faculty in 2005, Professor Cupar was a law clerk for several years to the Honorable Solomon Oliver Jr., in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, and she currently serves as a member of the Northern District of Ohio’s Advisory Group. She also spent time representing death row inmates in their habeas cases to the federal courts, including successfully representing a death row inmate in his habeas appeal to the Sixth Circuit.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
