Professor Kenny is the Director and co-founder of The Legal Writing Academy at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Prior to joining the faculty at CWRU Law School in 2004, Professor Kenny practiced for six years as an associate in the litigation group at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P., where she specialized in First Amendment and general business litigation. Her practice primarily focused on her representation of media clients, including individual reporters and a local television station. As an Associate Professor of Law, Professor Kenny teaches Criminal Law to first-year law students. And, for the past eight years, she has taught a year-long Legal Writing and Analysis course, in which she teaches first-year law students to develop and hone their writing, editing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. She also created an Advanced Legal Writing course that she will begin teaching to upper-level students in summer 2012. Professor Kenny has been asked to provide several legal writing workshops and seminars for big-firm associates and judges in the Cleveland area. She has published multiple articles addressing recent developments in media law and has presented at academic conferences on topics including the differences between male and female communication styles.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
