Library Staff

Megan Allen
Assistant Director of Strategic and Technology Initiatives

Megan Allen Megan Allen specializes in current and emerging educational and library technologies, providing assistance to students, staff and faculty with course technology, learning management systems and online education. She works to ensure the law practice readiness of graduates with instruction on brief formatting, navigating complex legal documents and use of law practice applications. Allen also oversees those functions in the law library, managed by the Head of Access Services, that enable the use of the collections, including general circulation functions and course reserves. She has been a staff member at the law school since 2000, holds a MLS in Library Science from Kent State University and is a member of the CWRU Weatherhead School of Management Part-Time MBA Class of 2018.
Cheryl Cheatham
Reference Librarian

Cheryl Cheatham Cheryl Cheatham is a reference librarian who has served in several key positions within the law library. Currently, she specializes in health law research. She is the library liaison to Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine and to the Law-Medicine Center. Cheatham serves as a member of the Cuyahoga County Law Library Resources Board.
Joe Custer
Law Library Director

Joe Custer Joe Custer oversees all staff and operations for the Judge Ben C. Green Law Library, as well as teaches Advanced Legal Research and Electronic Discovery. His scholarship has primarily been in the areas of legal research, administration and issues pertaining to historical social justice. Custer joined Case Western Reserve in 2015 after serving five years as Director of the Vince C. Immel Law Library and as a faculty member at the University of Saint Louis School of Law. In addition to his JD, Custer holds a Masters in Library and Informational Science and a Masters in Business Administration.
Deborah Dennison
Head of Bibliographic Access

Deborah Dennison Deborah Dennison manages electronic resources in the law library’s collection and coordinates with campus colleagues to maintain the bibliographic integrity of the online catalog. She supervises cataloging, acquisitions, collection maintenance and serials staff, manages the archival collection and coordinates gifts to the library. Deborah participates in the faculty liaison program and is active in campus-wide and regional organizations.
Andrew Dorchak
Head of Reference

Andrew Dorchak Andy Dorchak coordinates the services of the reference department team, which helps patrons use the library’s resources more effectively and efficiently. Reference librarians offer personalized assistance to law faculty and students in the form of liaison relationships or personalized research consultations. Dorchak also specializes in foreign and international legal research and support of the Journal of International Law and Canada-United States Law Journal.
Angie Eason
Collection Maintenance Manager

Angie Eason Angie Eason manages the law library stacks, making sure the most recent and up-to-date material is available on the shelves for students, faculty and staff. She shifts the collection to make room on the shelves, pulling weeded books, shelving returned books and making sure the library space is organized and accessible. Eason has been a staff member since January 2016 and obtained a Masters in Library and Information Science from Kent State University.
Donna Ertin
Head of Access Services

Donna Ertin Donna Ertin oversees circulation, resource delivery and course reserves. She is committed to innovation, efficiency and patron satisfaction. Her department strives to provide a welcoming, secure environment with meaningful interaction between law students, law faculty and all patrons who visit the library. Ertin has been with the law library since 2004.
Doris Hooks-Anderson
Library Coordinator

Doris Hooks-Anderson Doris Hooks-Anderson is responsible for maintenance at the law library. Hooks-Anderson handles the administrative work involved in services that need to be addressed at the library, such as contacting vendors for repair of equipment. She places orders for all library supplies and handles calls to maintenance for repairs and cleaning inside the library. She is responsible for conference room reservations and provides executive support to the library director.
Clifton Horhn
Library Assistant III

Clifton Horhn Cliff Horhn is a veteran of the circulation department. His primary responsibilities are circulation-related functions which include OhioLink, Interlibrary loan and document delivery. Horhn processes all OhioLink materials and Interlibrary loan borrowing and lending requests. Horhn has been a staff member of the library since 1992.
Judith Kaul
Reference and Electronic Research Services Librarian

Judith Kaul Judith Kaul works closely with the University Office of Counsel to license our subscriptions. She manages research services promotion from a public services perspective as well as coordinates the evaluation and acquisition of electronic research services. Kaul assists with teaching legal research aspects of LLEAP and provides legal research sessions for seminars and in the Advanced Legal Research course. She assists with plagiarism prevention education. Kaul is the reference liaison to the Spangenberg Center for Law, Technology & the Arts and the Journal of Law Technology and the Internet.
Jeannette Mazur
Law Library Computer Lab Manager

Jeannette Mazur Jeannette Mazur manages the students working in the computer lab on the third floor of the library. She also assists with wireless printing and printing refunds, setting up and using Turningpoint and ePortfolios and creating training videos. Mazur has been a staff member since 2015 and has a Masters of Library and Information Science from Kent State University.
Rosanna Masley
Circulation Library Assistant & Acquisitions Coordinator

Rosanna Masley Rosanna Masley manages and prepares course reserves. She opens the law library Monday through Friday and provides support services at the circulation desk. As Acquisitions Coordinator, Masley works with endowment funds to purchase and process books for the law library collection. She also coordinates the library’s monthly acquisitions list.
Rob Myers
Associate Director for Library Operations

Rob Myers Rob Myers provides management and oversight of the library’s day-to-day operations. He is responsible for library budgeting and expense monitoring, oversees print and electronic collection development activities, coordinates collection of statistics for various accrediting agencies and supervises the Head of Reference and the Head of Bibliographic Access. Myers serves as a reference librarian, teaches classes in LLEAP and Advanced Legal Research and participates in the faculty liaison program. He holds a JD from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and a MLS in Library Science from Kent State University. Prior to joining the library staff in 2002, Myers served as a librarian and library director with several downtown Cleveland law firms.
Lisa Peters
Reference and Scholarly Communications Librarian

Lisa Peters Lisa Peters teaches classes for CORE and Advanced Legal Research and manages the library’s digital repositories. In particular, she aids students and faculty in environmental, tax and business research. She is the library liaison to the Case Western Reserve Law Review. Peters has been employed at the library since 2000. She holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, a MA in philosophy from the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle and a MLS in Library Science from Rutgers University.
SaraJean Petite
Bibliographic Access Librarian

SaraJean Petite SaraJean Petite has managed the Federal Depository Library collection at the Judge Ben C. Green Law Library since 2003. She also serves as a reference librarian, catalogs the majority of the monographs (new book titles) the library receives and works with special collections, including the library’s collection of tangible faculty publications and the library’s collection of digital issues of The Docket. Petite received her MLS from Kent State University in 2001 and is a member of the CWRU Law School class of 2018.
Stanley Wanicki
Library Assistant III

Stanley Wanicki Stanley Wanicki serves as the law library’s serials assistant, ensuring that the various subscriptions and serial titles are received, checked in and given their proper call numbers. He also provides support services at the circulation desk most evenings until closing time, and he helps to train and supervise student workers for the evening shift.
