  • BLSA Mock Trial team wins National Championship

    The law school’s Black Law Student Association Mock Trial team (composed of 3L Aanya Myrie-Sylburn, 2L Yaninna Sharpley-Travis, 1L Lydia Abraham and 1L Jordyn Dawson) took first place in the 2024 National BLSA Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition, winning every round they competed in.

    Law students from the Spangenberg Center for Law, Technology and the Arts attended the South By Southwest Conference (SXSW) this week in Austin, Texas. During the conference, they immersed themselves in sessions and connected with professionals in the areas of technology and the arts.
  • CWRU team excels in ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition

    On Wednesday, Feb. 28, seven students traveled from Cleveland to San Francisco to participate in the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. Over the three day competition, the team of David Meredith, Michael O’Donnell and Kyle Timmerman finished 1-2, defeating Yale Law School in the final round.

Throughout her childhood, Groves’ parents stressed the importance of education and hard work, driving her to graduate both high school and college in three years before beginning her law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

    The law school’s Jessup International Law Moot Court team (composed of Elise Manchester, Will Baker, Ellie Buerk, Brianna Schmidt and Naomi Matthusen) took 1st place at the National Competition held on Feb. 29—March 3, 2024 in Portland, Oregon, earning a berth in the International Rounds in D.C. in April.
  • Judge Fleming to deliver School of Law's 2024 Commencement Address

    34 years after graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, the Honorable Charles Fleming, judge of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, will be his alma mater’s 2024 graduation ceremony speaker. This year’s law school commencement will take place from 9-10:30 a.m.
