Assistant Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway (‘04), a faculty member in the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic Center, won a seat on the Shaker Heights City School Board. James Pasch (‘10), Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations, was re-elected to his seat on Beachwood City Council. Both received the highest vote counts in their respective multi-seat elections.
“This is one of many ways our civic-minded faculty and staff are working for the benefit of the local community,” said Co-Deans Jessica Berg and Michael Scharf.
Hardaway also serves on the Independent Monitoring team appointed in 2015 to evaluate police reforms to be implemented by the Cleveland Police Department under a federal consent decree.
In a widely viewed TEDx Talk
this past summer, Pasch encouraged members of the millennial generation to take an interest in local politics.
