US News and World Report says job growth in international law is one of three key trends in 2013
US News and World Report:
Job growth in international law is one of three key trends in 2013
According to US News and World Report's December 31, 2012 article, "Three Law School Trends to Watch for in 2013"
: "As globalization continues to foster interdependence between nations, there will be a growing need for lawyers specializing in comparative and international law, especially international business law. In 2013, law students who focus on law related to treaties and trade, workers' protections, free trade, and cross-border economic relationships are likely to be especially appealing to employers."
Case Western Reserve University School of Law is known for its strength in this area. Our International Law Program is ranked #13th in the country (out of 200 law schools). We offer 46 international law specialty courses (including experiential labs and clinics) taught by leading experts in the field, and have thirty exchange programs with top foreign law schools in China and Europe. Our unique internship and externship programs help students gain entry into this area of practice. From our Cox International Law Center endowment, we provide grants to support summer international law internships at foreign law firms and institutions like the World Trade Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization, INTERPOL, and several international criminal tribunals, and we provide a semester's worth of credit for semester-long externships at international institutions across the globe.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
