Great Lakes Sports & Entertainment Law Academy: May 13-May 31, 2013

In May of 2012, the law schools of Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University introduced the Great Lakes Sports & Entertainment Law Academy, an exciting summer program for law students located in Cleveland, Ohio home to three professional sports franchises and thriving arts and musical institutions. The GLSELA provides students with three weeks of simulation-based coursework focused on doctrine, drafting, and negotiation followed by the opportunity to participate in highly selective, nine-week externships with high-profile sports and entertainment organizations.

Experiential learning and social networking are important aspects of the Academy. A variety of excursions to Cleveland’s world-renowned cultural and entertainment organizations, as well as national sports franchises and social events are planned. A certificate of completion is awarded to all students who successfully complete the coursework.

The GLSELA opens its second year on May 13, 2013. The student application process opens on Saturday, December 1, 2012. For application details, visit our new website.
