Students launch first Law Review podcasting series
For many law students, the third year is about what they leave behind. With that in mind, our newly elected editorial board of Volume 63 of the Case Western Reserve Law Review decided to build something new. After six months of development, students on our Law Review produced and released the pilot program of the now green-lit podcast series Below the Line on October 1, 2012. This student-produced series showcases important legal scholarship published in the Law Review, generates and disseminates commentary on articles, and offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the research process. Our Case Western Reserve Law Review is the first to produce a companion podcast series featuring an article published in each issue. On each program the author offers a summary of the article and answers questions from the Law Review. In addition, the Law Review invites leading authorities in the relevant field of law to offer their commentary on the article. The commentators who have and are scheduled to appear on Below the Line are prominent in their fields, and their commentary assists in drawing attention to the articles. Each program concludes with a discussion of future avenues of scholarship, litigation, and legislation. The Law Review plans to make offers for Below the Line features alongside offers of publication in future volumes. The series is

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
