Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy Successful
Through a unique collaboration, our law school and Cleveland State University offer the new Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy. Launched in May 2012, more than 50 students from around the country participated in this summer's first program and many students secured externships at various high-profile sports and entertainment organizations.
The Academy partners with several local and national professional sports and entertainment franchises, as well as educational and cultural institutions, to offer students an intense, three-week, interdisciplinary classroom and experiential learning opportunity. Following the three weeks of coursework, up to fifteen students will have the opportunity to participate in highly selective externships at high-profile sports and entertainment institutions including:
