New Associate Dean for Global Legal Studies
Professor Michael Scharf, Associate Dean for Global Legal Studies
Dean Mitchell has recently appointed Professor Michael Scharf to the newly created position of Associate Dean for Global Legal Studies at our law school.
This new appointment reflects the importance we place on our international law program, which was ranked #11 in the nation by US News and World Report. Professor Scharf, who has directed our Frederick. K. Cox International Law Center for the past ten years, will now have supervisory responsibility over all of our international law centers, institutes, and programs, including the Institute for Global Security Law and Policy, the Canada-US Law Institute, the War Crimes Research Office, the International LLM Program, the Case Abroad at Home Program, and the Summer Institute for International Law and Policy in the Netherlands. In addition, he will help us build up exchange programs, modeled on our very successful China Exchange Program, with law schools across the globe.
We congratulate Professor Scharf and are very excited about the future of our ambitious and innovative international law program under his leadership.

Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
