Students compete in Immigration Moot Court Competition
Case Western Reserve University School of Law has a new moot court team! Congratulations to Sara Elaquad and Meri Nagapetyan who have been chosen to represent our law school at New York University School of Law’s Seventh Annual Immigration Moot Court Competition.
NYU’s competition focuses on circuit splits in immigration law. It hosts sixteen teams from law schools around the country. This is the first time our law school will be entering the competition. There will be three preliminary rounds of competition, the results of which determines the seeding for the elimination rounds. All sixteen teams take part in elimination rounds to ensure that each team participates in at least four competitive rounds.
The team will be coached by Scott Bratton, a Partner and head of the Litigation and Appellate Division at Margaret W. Wong & Associates (We wish Sara and Meri best of luck as they prepare for the competition.
The students share a special thanks to: Scott Bratton, Esq., Philip Eichorn, Esq., Margaret Wong, Esq., Professor Leatherberry, Professor Mercer, Professor Robertson, Professor Ku and Steve Rowings from NYU’s moot Court Board for the help, advice and support.

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
