The Niagara International Moot Court team advances to quarterfinals in Toronto
The Niagara International Moot Court team, consisting of David Kocan, Brandon Wheeler, Candice Sengillo, Keith White, and student coach Ruth Dickey, advanced to the Quarterfinal Round of the International Competition in Toronto, Canada. David and Brandon were jointly named "Best Overall Individual Advocate" in the international competition.
The 2010-11 Niagara Moot Court Problem, "Case Concerning Arctic Waters," focuses on issues of sovereignty, international environmental law, and law of the sea related to regulation of commercial fishing, oil exploration, and transit in the Northwest Passage and other arctic waters.
The team, along with faculty advisors Cassandra Robertson and Peter Friedman, would like to thank the CWRU law school community for their contributions.
