Students achieve significant publishing success
We are pleased to share recent publishing achievements from our current students and recent graduates.
Third-year student Jared S. Livingston wrote, “Invasion Contracts: The Privacy Implications of Terms of Use Agreements in the Online Social Media Setting.” This article will be published in the Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology, in its 21st volume, at the end of 2011.
Third-year Obiajulu C. Okuh wrote, “When Circuit Breakers Trip: Resetting the CFAA to Combat Employee Rogue Access.” The article is expected to be published in the May 2011 issue of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.
Jennifer Mesko ’11 will publish a piece entitled “Towards a Compassionate Solution: The UNHCR Guidance Note and Asylum for Parents of Potential Victims of Female Genital Mutilation” in next year's volume of the Whittier Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.
Andrea Ball ’11 won first place in the 2011 Family Law Writing Competition for her paper, “Cohabitation is Not Consent for Marriage: The ALI's Rejection of Autonomy for Cohabitants.” Her paper is up for consideration for publication in the Hofstra University School of Law Family Court Review.
Recent graduate Scott Larson had two of his articles, “Ethical Conflicts in Patent Prosecution: the long-felt unmet need for uniform guidance” and “Enforcing Intellectual Property Rights to Deter Phishing” published in the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal.
Alumnus Jeff Dornbos ’10 also received an offer to publish his article, “All (Water) Politics Is Local: A Proposal for Resolving Transboundary Water Disputes.” The article will be published in the Fordham Environmental Law Review.
