Law school hosts fundraising event for public interest fellowships
On Friday, March 25, the School of Law will be hosting the annual “Bid for Justice Gala”, an event sponsored by the Student Public Interest Law Fellowship.
The event will be held at the law school from 7p.m.-11p.m. and will include live entertainment, hor d’oeuvres, as well as a live and silent auction. All proceeds from the event will directly fund fellowships for students working in a variety of summer positions, including government agencies, non-profits, international organizations, prosecutorial forces and public defender offices.
Associate Dean of Student Services, Sarah McFarlane Polly, says of this annual event, “The SPILF auction is one of the most popular events of the year. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni come together to support students working for non-paying or low-paying public service organizations. They enjoy great company, music, and food, as well as donate and bid on auction items such as sports tickets and memorabilia, Cleveland outings, and – a perennial favorite – dinners with faculty.”

Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
