The Center for Law, Technology, and the Arts has become has become an internationally recognized forum for the interdisciplinary study of law, technology, and the arts. The center focuses on teaching, research, and programs pertaining to intellectual property, technological innovation, technology transfer, and artistic rights. You will work with faculty on legal issues concerning biotechnology, information technology, and the creative arts.

Tyrone Scott won first prize in the Grammy Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative, which included a $5000 scholarship as well an all-expense paid trip to see the Grammy Ceremony. His article, "Saving the Modern Record Industry: Partnership and Fiduciary Duty Between Labels and Artists" will be published in the next edition of the ABA Journal, Sports & Entertainment Law Section.

Case Western Reserve University School of Law and Cleveland State University partnered to create a unique new summer program, "Great Lakes Sports & Entertainment Law Academy," which began in 2012. Information and online registration for the 2013 session is now available.

The Center for LTA offers the IP Entrepreneurship Clinic, in which you will represent start-up companies as they develop their plans to commercialize their technology.

Our law school has been accepted into the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Patent Law School Clinic Certification Pilot Program. The Selection Committee chose schools with the greatest potential for success based on an excellent IP curriculum, effective outreach to the community, and comprehensive client services.
