Application requirements: US Law Degree or LLB from a Foreign University. We seek to enroll students whose undergraduate and Law School transcripts and work experience reflect potential for high level performance in this program. Foreign applicants whose native language is not English must be fluent in English, as demonstrated by a TOEFL score of at least 100 or IELTS of 7. All applicants are required to include two reference letters with their application.
Applications may be submitted beginning in September; admissions decisions will be made between December 15 and June 15. Applications are processed in order of their receipt. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early during the academic year before the fall of the entry year. When the class is filled, we start a waiting list of candidates with acceptable credentials. As vacancies occur up to the date of registration, we draw the best qualified candidates from the waiting list.
Tuition for 2012-2013 is $44,500. American students may be eligible for federal financial aid. If you are an officer of an international tribunal or government agency you may be eligible for our full-tuition "Distinguished Jurist in Residence" scholarship.
The Application fee is $50. Accepted applicants will be required to submit a nonrefundable $500 deposit in order to secure their position in the class. The deposit is deductible from the first semester’s tuition. To apply, the candidate must submit:
Completed application form along with $50.00 application fee, payable in US dollars to "Case Western Reserve University."
Two letters of recommendation. Recommendation letters can be either enclosed with the application form in sealed and signed envelopes or mailed separately by the recommenders. The Recommendation Form appears at the end of the Application.
Official copy of transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended with notarized translation into English where applicable.
An official TOEFL score or an IELTs record report is required for all students whose native language is not English—except those with a degree from an institution where English is the language of instruction. Our TOEFL institutional code is 1105.
Affidavit of financial support required for visa documents.
Applications must be mailed to:

Footnote:
Case is on the rise.
We are one of the only law schools in the country to have experienced any rise in median LSATs last year, and ours rose a whopping 2 points. Our university, ranked #37th by U.S. News & World Report, is attracting record numbers of applicants.
